Use the form below and it reaches the people who write the guides — there is no ticketing system and no outsourced inbox in between. We read everything.
What to expect
Most messages get a reply within two to three working days. Corrections are dealt with faster than that, because a wrong tram number or a stale ticket price is actively costing someone time in Amsterdam.
The things we are best placed to help with
- Corrections. A fare that has gone up, a museum that has changed its booking window, a café that has closed. Tell us which page and what you saw, and we will check it against the operator or venue and update it.
- Gaps. A question about visiting Amsterdam that our guides do not answer. These genuinely shape what we write next.
- Press and research enquiries. If you are writing about Amsterdam tourism, the tourist tax, or the effect of the 2023–24 De Wallen reforms and want to ask about our sourcing, get in touch.
- Advertising and rights. Enquiries about advertising on the site, or about reusing our text or images, come to the same address.
The things we cannot do
We are a guide, not a travel agency. We cannot book your hotel, buy museum tickets on your behalf, change or refund a reservation you made elsewhere, or intervene with a tour operator, a hotel or Schiphol on your behalf. If you have a booking problem, the company that took your money is the only one who can fix it.
We also cannot give personalised trip-planning consultations by email. If you send us a question that a guide already answers, we will point you at the guide — and if it does not answer it clearly enough, that is useful information and we will fix the guide.
If something has gone wrong in Amsterdam
This site cannot help in an emergency and we do not monitor the inbox out of hours. In the Netherlands the emergency number is 112 for police, fire and ambulance. For non-urgent police matters the number is 0900 8844. If you have lost a passport, your embassy or consulate is the right first call. Our practical information guides cover pharmacies, lost property on the GVB network and what to do about a stolen bike, but none of that is a substitute for calling the people whose job it is.
Copyright and takedown
If you believe material on this site infringes your copyright, send us the URL of the page, identification of the work concerned, and your contact details, and we will respond promptly. We would rather hear from you directly than through a form letter.
